Hotel Review: NH Collection Barcelona Constanza
Located just north of Central Barcelona in the Les Corts neighborhood, the NH Collection Barcelona Constanza is a hip 4-start hotel. Part of the NH Collection portfolio, the location offers relative convenience yet the peace and quiet of a residential neighborhood. We had booked the NH Collection Barcelona Constanza through Hotels.com and secured a great rate of $117 USD per night during a very busy weekend in Barcelona. The weekend we visited Barcelona happened to be during La Mercè Festival so hotel rates were high overall.

Location
We arrived at Barcelona El Prat Airport around 2 PM and decided to take a taxi to the NH Collection Barcelona Constanza since we wanted to check-in fairly quickly. The taxi ride took about 15-20 minutes but there was really no traffic on a Saturday afternoon. This was our only taxi ride in Barcelona as we planned to take the metro throughout the rest of our stay.
The location in the Les Corts neighborhood was fine for us. I will advise that its about a 15 minute walk to the nearest metro station. That may be a bit far for some folks. But once you made it to the metro station, it was easy to get around Central Barcelona. Overall, we were pretty happy with the location of the NH Collection Barcelona Constanza. It was a nice balance of quiet and convenience. However, if you plan to spend all of your time in the city center, you may want to select a more central location.
Service
We arrived just a bit before the official check-in time of 3 PM but we were able to check-in right away. The expansive, modern lobby was so quiet you could hear a pin drop. Throughout our stay, I noticed how quiet the hotel was and how few other guests we encountered. Service was about average at the NH Collection Barcelona Constanza. The front desk folks were polite and efficient but not remarkable. Check-in and check-out were both easy. I don’t have much else to rate on the service as I did utilize other amenities like the spa or room service.
Comfort
We arrived just a bit before the official check-in time of 3 PM but we were able to check-in right away. The expansive, modern lobby was so quiet you could hear a pin drop. Throughout our stay, I noticed how quiet the hotel was and how few other guests we encountered.
After checking in, we headed up the elevators to our room on the fifth floor. NH Collection hotels have a theme of avant garde, modern decor and colorful lighting and the NH Collection Barcelona Constanza is no exception. The long mirrored corridors oozed with neon blue and green lights. I absolutely loved my room at the NH Collection Madrid Eurobuilding so I had high expectations of this Barcelona location.
The room itself was reasonably sized with plenty of room for bags and ample storage options. The beds were comfortable with fresh, crisp linens. There were blackout curtains in the the room which almost made the room pitch black. Personally, I don’t like using blackout curtains because I enjoy natural light, even in the early morning. Blackout curtains throw off my sense of time. But if you enjoy them, you’ll appreciate them in the rooms here.
The bathroom was suitable but not my favorite part of the room. While the bathroom was fairly large, the shower controls were confusing and water splashed too easily onto the floor. Like most NH Colleciton properties, better-than-usual toiletries were provided in the room.
The room was not as upscale or as well appointed as my room at the NH Collection Madrid Eurobuilding but it was still stylish and comfortable. The beds were comfortable but simple. But there were still nice touches like a Nespresso machine, ample closet space, and a roomy in-room safe.
Cleanliness
The room at the NH Collection Barcelona Constanza was very clean and tidy. The linens were fresh and bathroom well-cleaned. A well-cleaned room is very important to me and the room here met my standards for cleanliness.
The Verdict
In the end, we had a nice comfortable stay at the NH Collection Barcelona Constanza. It’s a nice hotel property if you value peace and quiet with a reasonably convenient location. The service and amenities aren’t spectacular but it’s still a hip, clean property with all your basics covered.

Have you tried the rooftop terrace?
I didn’t even know they had one. Ooops!
